Testimonials

Dr. Seth Matton - Excellent, highly recommend him to get the best deal possible. He was able to get my wife and I a great deal on our house. He was thorough in his research and knew every aspect of the area we were searching.

John B. Chandler -There's nothing worse than dealing with a home sale following the loss of a parent. Mr. Bowers helped me sell the house I grew up, so it was tough experience. Not only was Mr. Bowers extremely kind in addressing our concerns, but he helped us carry out some needed remodeling based on his advice. His advice got us much more for our property than we could have ever expected. I'd like to credit Mr. Bowers with not only for handling the coordination of all the bids from the many contractors but also taking the time and expense to complete repairs himself. This was above beyond what was required, but it helped our family out incredibly when we were busy recovering from our loss. Not only will Mr. Bowers bend over backwards for his clients, but he has a kind heart which is rare to come across nowadays…

Karen Smith - I can't speak highly enough of Mike from The Real Team. Facing the daunting decision of renting or selling my inherited childhood home, Mike's guidance was invaluable. His detailed analysis of selling versus renting, coupled with expert advice on necessary repairs, made a challenging time much more manageable. Mike's ability to connect me with reliable contractors and help budget for repairs was truly a game-changer. His extensive knowledge and insightful approach played a key role in my decision to keep the home as a rental. Without a doubt, when the time comes to sell, I'll be reaching out to Mike. If you're in need of a real estate professional who truly cares, Mike is the real estate expert to call

Samuel and Samantha Whittle - Mike is an excellent and knowledgeable realtor. From the start he made us feel like we truly had someone in our corner, which was huge for us as first time home buyers. He gave us all the info, answered every question thoroughly, and was with us every step of the way. Most importantly, he is extremely honest and not just trying to close a deal/make a sale. He genuinely wants his clients the best deal even if that means waiting for the right house to come along instead of rushing into it. His wealth of knowledge of the area and connections made the process streamlined and efficient. We had no delay in our estimated closing date! I cannot thank Mike enough for all that he has done to help us purchase our first home…

Kevin and Valerie - My husband and I used Mike when we were moving to Connecticut from out of state. We didn't know the area and needed a lot of guidance as we navigated the local housing market. Mike did an absolutely outstanding job for us! He was patient and helpful throughout the process and was fantastic at negotiating the best possible price for our new home! We've used countless realtors, and Mike was above and beyond in all aspects! Highly recommend!

As a proud East Lyme, CT native, I have a deep-rooted connection to this community. After spending a few years in Mystic, I’m grateful to once again call East Lyme home. Life here is filled with the joyful chaos of raising my two wonderful children alongside my wife, an experience that has taught me the importance of flexibility and adaptability. My journey into real estate began with the purchase of a duplex—a decision driven by necessity, as rental income was the only way I could afford to move out of my childhood home. That experience quickly ignited a passion for real estate, leading me to learn from exceptional mentors at Heritage Properties. There, I had the privilege of helping friends and family navigate their own real estate journeys. Now, with years of dedicated experience, I specialize in the dynamic eastern Connecticut market, sharing my knowledge and expertise to help clients achieve their real estate goals. I’m passionate about securing the best possible outcomes, always thinking creatively and offering innovative solutions to make every transaction as smooth and rewarding as possible.

As a project manager by trade, I spent 10 years weaving through the legal-tech, and finance industries, working for small, medium, and publicly traded companies in New York City. When COVID-19 hit, I traded my 3rd-floor walk-up for a 3-unit multi-family in Mystic, Connecticut. The goal became to grow a real estate portfolio and make spaces beautiful for people. Through the process, Rie & Co. Interior Design was born. Shortly after the pandemic I helped reactivate a commercial storefront in downtown New London as part of the city’s revitalization ARPA grant funding plan. From there, my business added residential interior design and many more business endeavors. My journey through the years has led me from busting tables to the streets of Wall Street and back to the shoreline, where I discovered investment opportunities and started Rie & Co. Interior Design. With a wealth of experience, I’m here to guide you through the world of real estate and design and help you find your dream home or investment property. I have been on job sites with my parents for as long as I can remember and grew up watching them flip houses. Although I was raised in Norwich, CT, our family always gravitated to the Mystic shoreline for the summer, eventually becoming our home. I am a Connecticut Realtor®, hold a bachelor’s degree from The University of Connecticut, and studied Interior Design at The New York Institute of Art + Design.
